Our Story

H.E.A.R.T. Barn was born when our beloved matriarch, Jo Robinson, better known to all as "Granny," passed away in March of 2017, as a way to honor her memory and to carry on the legacy she taught us of love, acceptance and service to others. We wanted to find a way to bring horses and the joy, the life lessons, and the healing, that they have given us to as many people as possible. Perhaps people that have known loss or disappointment, survived physical, mental or emotional trauma, emotional or mental disabilities, Veterans struggling post deployment or simply any adult or child that would never be afforded the exceptional opportunities for growth and healing, that comes with being around horses. We believe that horses truly do bring healing to people. We are living proof of that!

H.E.A.R.T. Barn has given myself and my family an outlet to come together and heal after we experienced a tragedy. We hope to continue learning and overcoming personal obstacles through this program!”
